Penny Williams-Wolford became the Collaboration’s Professional Development Coordinator in January. She has a wealth of experience in early childhood, family child care, and advocating for individuals with special needs. Before joining the Collaboration, Penny worked as an independent consultant specializing in early childhood professional development and quality early care and education for children.

Penny was the first Star Level IV provider in Illinois. Penny is a member of Gateways Family Child Care Credential and Professional Development Advisory Council Qualifications and Credentials Committee. She serves as a board member of Lindop School District 92 Board of Education and previously served as the Board secretary of Proviso Area for Exceptional Children’s Board of Education.

Penny has three Master degrees: in Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Leadership from National-Louis University, in Child Development from Erikson Institute, and in Social Work from Loyola University.
