We hope your Halloween was spooky and fun!
October is over and it was just packed. We had our Outdoor Open House and Ribbon-Cutting, IGA meeting, parent workshops and new parent meet-ups, and our fall Physicians’ Network Event hosted by Dr. Shalowitz. Thank you all for joining us at these events.
Now, we are looking toward the winter season, and we have a beautiful ofrenda adorning our office windows at our South Oak Park Avenue location. This year, the Collaboration for Early Childhood ofrenda honors our loved ones. Come by and take a look at the beautiful display, then check out others in the community.
What’s ahead? Thanks to the Professional Development Committee, our Symposium planning is well underway with a stellar schedule of workshop facilitators and keynote speakers for this year’s theme, “Moving from Surviving to Thriving.” Our “2021 State of Early Childhood in Oak Park” report is headed to the printers today, and we are looking forward to a thoughtful panel discussion about early childhood mental health at this month’s Tri-Board Meeting, which will take place on the evening of November 17th.
Did we mention we have a new promotional video that explains our work and highlights a few of our wonderful partners? This video, like so many aspects of our work, starts with a story. Learn more at the end of this newsletter.
November also kicks off the season of giving. Thank you for your support. We can’t do this work without you.
In Partnership,
The Collaboration for Early Childhood
