There are many joyful events taking place around Oak Park that celebrate Juneteenth.
Juneteenth also falls on Father’s Day weekend, so there is quite a lot to celebrate. In honor of both holidays, Welcome to Fatherhood in collaboration with Kings Kidz Academy are proud to present the highly anticipated 3rd Annual Juneteenth/Father’s Day Festival. This family friendly event takes place Saturday June 17th in Oak Park on the corner of Madison St. and Carpenter (across from Robinson’s Ribs) from 11 AM to 2 PM. All are welcome to attend!
The Juneteenth/Father’s Day Festival is a joyful celebration of freedom, culture, and togetherness. Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. It is a significant occasion to honor the triumphs of the past while embracing the spirit of unity and progress.
The Juneteenth/Father’s Day Festival promises to be a captivating experience for attendees of all ages. We are offering an array of engaging activities, live performances, delicious food, and opportunities for community connection. Mark your calendars!!!
