Participate in an equity-focused professional development series to learn coaching strategies focused on helping teachers build their students’ social emotional regulation. This will be a four-hour, series (offered in two-hour sessions, twice through one day time and one evening option). Through this professional learning, participants will be able to:
- Develop an understanding of how coaching supports the development of teachers and students
- Build trusting relationships as a foundation for coaching
- Apply coaching language and stances to cultivate teacher reflection
- Practice coaching to support social and emotional regulation in classroom
This opportunity is open to any early learning program Administrator (including Assistant Directors or other staff in positions which support/coach/mentor other staff members) in Bellwood, Berwyn, Broadview, Chicago (Austin Community/West Side), Forest Park, Maywood, Melrose Park, Oak Park, River Forest and Stickney. Participants can attend either session of part 1 and part 2 but must commit to attending both parts. The sessions available to attend this 2-part virtual training series will be:
Part 1:
October 18, 2023 6-8 PM OR October 19, 2023, 1:00-3:00 PM (virtual)
Part 2:
November 16, 2023, 6-8 PM OR November 16, 2023, 1:00-3:00 PM (virtual)
