Parent Workshop: The Importance of Free Play in Young Children

This workshop will cover:

-different types of play including the differences between independent play and guided play, and
-the research showing the benefits of free play in all areas of development for young children.

Our discussion will also cover the age-based stages of play, information about NAEYC-recommended play materials, exploration of the way children process emotions through play, and a brief discussion of screen-based media.
