Madeleine U Shalowitz, MD, MBA, FAAP

Madeleine Shalowitz is a developmental and behavioral pediatrician and health services researcher with advanced training in health systems management. Her areas of research center on health equity, maternal and child health disparities and the relationships among life course stressors and health. Her focus on the social determinants of health underlie her work in quality of care, access and stakeholder engagement to improve the understanding of mechanisms of disparities and thereby to seek solutions. Most recent work includes using information from the electronic medical record to to model health trajectories.
